What is Purralytics?
Purralytics is a web platform for cat rescues, TNR groups, and colony caretakers. It tracks colonies on a map, individual cats from intake to outcome, medical records, neonate care, volunteers, donors, and sponsors – all in one place, built by people who run a rescue themselves.
Is Purralytics free?
Yes – the Rescue plan is free forever and includes core colony tracking for up to three colonies. The Organization plan (19 USD per month) removes the colony cap, and the Network plan (39 USD per month) adds volunteer management, events, projects, teams, and advanced statistics.
How do I track a cat colony?
Create a colony record with a map location, population counts by age group, and a primary caregiver. Every save is recorded as a dated history snapshot, so you can chart how the colony changes over time – including back-dated entries from paper records.
Can I track individual cats within a colony?
Yes. You can upload photos of the individual cats in a colony and you can add colony-specific notes about cats in that colony. Further, if you remove a cat from a colony to care for or foster, the Intake record you create will follow each individual cat with more room for photos, a configurable medical checklist covering tests, vaccinations, and treatments, plus notes. Neonatal kittens get bottle-feeding and weight logs to keep hand-rearing on track. Discharge records capture the outcome – adoption, TNR return, or transfer – and produce a printable document for the receiving party.
Does Purralytics support TNR (trap-neuter-return)?
Yes. When a cat is discharged as a TNR return, it is automatically added back to its colony census at the correct age group, so colony counts stay accurate through the whole trap-neuter-return cycle without you having to manually update the colony counts (though we do recommend a census taken twice per year to account for fluctuations in population over time).
Can volunteers log data?
Yes. Access is role-based: colony caregivers, volunteers, coordinators, and admins each see and edit what their role allows. Volunteers can log their hours, and coordinators approve volunteer time and manage events and projects on the Network plan.
Is my organization’s data private?
Yes. Every organization’s data is fully isolated – no other organization can see your colonies, cats, contacts, or donors. Within your organization, role-based visibility controls who sees what. If you cancel a paid plan, your data is retained, not deleted.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes. Purralytics runs in any modern browser and the interface is fully responsive, so volunteers can log intakes and updates from the field.
What statistics and reports can I generate?
Colony population over time, intake and discharge breakdowns with year filters, volunteer hours, donor giving, and organization-wide totals. Colony data can also be exported to CSV.
Can I track donors and sponsors?
Yes. Record one-time and recurring donations, sponsorships, and contact details, with active and inactive status so long-term relationships stay organized.
What is the AI photo analysis feature?
An optional feature that analyzes intake photos to help pre-fill a cat’s details. It is bring-your-own-key: you connect your own AI provider account on any plan, and your key is stored encrypted.
